GGProspect ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
- Account info: email, password (hashed), account type (player or recruiter).
- Profile info: name, school, game, academic details, socials, avatar, and any contact info you choose to share.
- Recruiter info: name, email, and organization.
- Newsletter: email and consent timestamp when you opt in.
- Usage data: log data, device info, and basic analytics needed to operate the Service. We may use cookies or similar technologies for login sessions, security, analytics, and basic site functionality.
3. How we use information
- Provide and maintain the Service, including your public profile.
- Authenticate users and secure accounts.
- Allow recruiters to discover and contact players who have opted in.
- Send transactional emails (password resets, account changes).
- Send newsletters and updates if you opt in.
- Analytics: help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. Analytics data is generally used in aggregated form and is not intended to directly identify individual users.
- Detect, prevent, and address abuse or security issues.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. Player profile data that you input or mark public is visible to other users; contact information is only visible to authenticated recruiter accounts. We share data with trusted service providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics) only as needed to operate the Service.
Player profiles are designed to be shared with coaches, recruiters, and other users. Information you add to your public profile may be visible through your profile link and, if enabled, in the player directory.
You can edit your profile information, hide your profile from the public directory, or delete your account through your account settings. Contact information, such as email or Discord, is only shown according to your visibility settings and GGProspect's recruiter access rules.
We use service providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, email delivery, analytics, security, and related operations. These providers may process information only as needed to help us operate and improve GGProspect.
5. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, your profile is removed; some records may be retained for legal or security purposes.
6. Your rights
You may at any time:
- Access and update your profile.
- Unsubscribe from newsletters via the link in any email.
- Delete your account from account settings.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@ggprospect.com.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
GGProspect is not directed to children under 13, and users must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should use GGProspect only with permission from a parent or guardian.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that anyone under 13 has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
9. International users
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers, subject to applicable law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email.
